ineo 40P: Powerful, flexible, compact

To print documents such as monthly reports, invoices, sales figures, pick and pack orders, packaging lists or inventory reports, you need a fast and reliable printer with flexible paper handling qualities and a comfortable IT profile. Barbara Prudel, the product manager responsible for the ineo 40P, explains why this DEVELOP printer meets the bill: “It prints at 43 A4 pages per minute in black&white and has a time to first print of just 9.5 seconds. That is the kind of speed you need to manage high print volumes and beat tight deadlines. Add to that the wide range of media the ineo 40P can handle and its seamless IT integratability and you’ve got the ideal printer for challenging environments.”

 

 

 

Enhanced efficiency

The main advantage of this printer’s rated output is not just that it speeds up document production but also avoids time-wasting delays in busy offices, e.g. when customers orders, monthly reports, sales figures or packaging documents have to be printed. This is not the only way the ineo 40P can enhance the efficiency of the document production process. In the large departments targeted by this printer it is essential that all users enjoy fast access to their networked printer. Here, the ineo 40P is adequately equipped with 1 GB Ethernet as a standard feature for increased speed and convenience. Though rarely found in printers of this class, two other features of the ineo 40P are also useful time-savers: direct printing from a PDF file and a USB stick. Printing files straight from a stick – without having to open a document again on a PC – saves a great deal of time and effort, for example if reports or sales figures have to printed at the last minute for a meeting.

Greater paper flexibility

Documents frequently have to be printed on a wide variety of media in demanding office environments such as accounts, customer service or logistics departments. The ineo 40P has been designed to deliver this kind of flexibility. Each of its trays can handle paper of up to 216 g/m2 and different media can be stored in the various trays. If thicker paper bearing the company logo is often needed, it may well be stored in tray 1 while standard A4 paper is kept in tray 2 and envelopes in tray 3, for example. An optional stacker adds an additional 500 sheets to the ineo 40P’s paper capacity and makes offset sorting possible. This is particularly useful when printing large numbers of multi-page documents.

Seamless integration

The ineo 40P’s ability to integrate seamlessly into virtually any existing IT infrastructure saves time and money in IT administration. Besides providing standard PCL and PostScript support, the ineo 40P’s optional hard disk also offers Windows XPS support, a feature seldom seen in printers of this class. Native XPS support enables documents to be printed better and shared and archived more easily while at the same time increasing their security. 

More economical printing

Various features of the ineo 40P help to cut the cost of document production. The duplex option, for example, significantly reduces paper consumption when printing reports, sales figures and other multi-page documents. Other features such as the toner-save mode and the energy-save mode are also helpful in cutting printing costs, especially in departments with high monthly print volumes. The low energy consumption is additionally emphasized by the Energy Star certification. The optional job accounting function also offers money-saving potential. It enables a business to break down its printing costs by tracking what individual workgroups or departments have printed. In this way, it is possible to allocate printing costs to the users who have actually incurred them, which is an efficient means of keeping costs under control.

Despite such a wealth of features the ineo 40P is actually a very compact printer, which is an additional advantage in busy offices where space is in short supply.
